There were no high-tech game consoles like the Wii or PSP when I was still young. These things back then only existed in our dreams. Although we did have game consoles back then, they were not as advanced as the ones available now. But still, we enjoy those devices. Of all the games available then, “Donkey Kong” is amongst my favorites. It is about a carpenter and his pet ape. The ape was mistreated by his carpenter master. Then the ape escapes and kidnaps the girlfriend of the carpenter. The object of the game, in summary, is to control the carpenter known as “Jumpman” through different levels to rescue his girlfriend in distress.
This game became a hit back then and the protagonist and the antagonist became very popular video game characters. The big ape would be known as the same name as the game, which is Donkey Kong. The carpenter, which would eventually become an American-Italian plumber, would be known as Mario.
The worlds most famous character in gaming history is none other than Mario. He is so popular that he appeared in over 200 games in various video game genres. As a tribute to the character, there have been Super Mario themed houses, giant Mario lego statues, Super Mario Bros Costumes, and more.
I have never seen a person who does not know who is this Super Mario. There may be people who are not crazy about Mario, but I think they at least know who he is. There are many people who are crazy about Super Mario. There are also people who designs their homes like a Mario world, from the inside to the outside, even the furnitures! Back then, I recall that I also have been addicted to Super Mario. I remember playing Super Mario games only and owning many Super Mario Bros Costumes of Mario, Luigi, Toad, and even Bowser. I think that I still have some of my Super Mario Bros Costumes somewhere in my closer. I also remember that while walking I would habitually hum the gameplay music of the first level of Super Mario Bros! There are many people who have other ways of expressing this Mario craze, which are just too many to include in this article. Still, you will get an idea on how popular Mario is.
I am sure that Mario is a part of our history now. I think that even in the future, Mario will still live on. Maybe in the future it is not uncommon to see houses and vehicles with the theme of Mario.
