Best Spots For Cat Lounging
No CommentsOur Cats are notorious for lounging around. In fact, most cats sleep 13 -16 hours per day. (What a life, right?) They are true connoisseurs of comfort. Chilling in the sun is quite cozy for them. Cat lovers can quite easily be dethrowned by their cat taking over their favorite chair our couch. We can try to discipline our cats into staying off the furniture but when you’re not looking watch out! Providing cat with appropriate cat furniture such as a cat climbing tower is undeniably a desired alternative to your furniture for your furry feline friend.
The advantage to purchasing cat furniture is that it is made with the cats innate behaviors in mind. In the wild, kittys like high spaces to check out their surroundings. It is an innate drive for cats to be drawn to high areas. Cat trees give kitty various levels for the best overview of his surroundings. Cat lovers/owners tend to open their home to multiple cats. (Okay, as a cat owner we know he owns you, you do not own him, but that’s not the point.) The issue is a cat condo with various levels is ideal for multiple cat households, because each kitty will have his own spot!
Cats have an instinct to scratch. This is why many cat posts are made with sisal to satisfy their urge. You will find that cats without claws display this behavior as well. If your cat does have claws, sisal cat furniture is great for their innate need to scratch, not to mention that it keeps their precious little paws away from your furniture!
If you do not have the room for a tall cat tree, consider a “one story” cat perch. They are small but still offer two areas for kitty to curl up in Your cat can sit inside of the cat perch or on top of it. For apartment dwellers, or anyone who does not have a lot of room, a cat cave is perfect. Most cat caves are made of comfy fluffy fabric and may have an attached toy for your cats playful side.
Another small and easily stored item for your cat is a cat tunnel. Again made from enticing plush fabric but with a crackle-noise making material inside for extra enticement. It is a sound cats cannot get enough of! Cat tunnels provide a nice place to relax or have fun.
In the current pet supplies market, you can see the choices for cat furniture are virtually endless! There is something available to suit the needs of all personalities and spaces.
